Do you like to travel? I bet you’re the kind of person who likes going in trips, around Peru, and probably going abroad. But I also can bet, that you just know from your own city only the streets and roads from where you live. You’ve may never traveled inside your own country, and might don’t know that Piura has some amazing places. So, I going to ask you, Can you consider yourself from Piura? Have you ever been somewhere else besides your house, the Piura’s center, or somewhere else besides Catacaos or Piura beaches?
Yes. I know that we’ve may been in several beaches from Piura, and I can bet you, that most of them belongs to Paita, but, from the times that you’ve may been in Paita, have you ever visited “La Basílica de las Mercedes”?
You might don’t know it, but according to The Archbishopric of Piura La Basílica de las Mercedes has been the oldest building founded in Piura, with an antiquity of 450 years. Inside there is the original image of La Virgen de las Mercedes.
It’s a really beautiful and historical building, it has even resisted two earthquakes, and for several opportunities has been looted and destroyed by pirates. It’s built by rustical material like cane, plaster and wood, and has the styles of rococo, baroque kinds, each ones fully reloaded.
Currently, it is in a rebuilding and conservation process, because present researches have determinated that the primary estructure has had an displacement of several centimetres, wich it has formed some cracks in the roof and in the edge beams.
So what? Are planing to go? Sure? I really recomend that you should go for the Festival of La Virgen de las Merdeces, on September 24th. That’s one of the most importants Holidays from Piura, and from Peru, which congregates thousands of worshipers from the country.
You can go since September 1st, because the Image of the Virgen is descent since that moment. And of course, during all the month, there are processions in Paita streets, masses and liturgies for all September.
But maybe you’re not the “religious kind of person”, and you’re looking for fun; don’t get wrong, you can also find it in the celebration. On September 25th, it’s celebrated a ball in charge by the Municipality of Paita, at the Malecon Platform. You can dance, drink, eat if you want. There are several cheap places around all the malecon; and I can recomend that you should go to the “El Liberal” restaurant, it is really the cheapest of all.
So? What are you waiting for? You know what you must do. Go to the travel agency, book your ticket, and just wait till September. We are going to be as happy as you will be, for meet each other in such a incredible experience.

I won´t to talk about a subject in particular, the reason is because I am impressed with the technological advances that the world is going to experience in the future, so I want to share this information with everyone, I am very impressed with everything that I have seen and heard its.
Scientists around the world who are working in many projects, they are very important for humanity and I’ll mention the predictions for the future:
In the years 2017 to 2030, we will be able to make car with autopilot, insect robots that they will help pollination, robots that guide the blind persons through the streets, electronic objects that will allow us control emotions, If all this happen, I think androids will represent a high percentage of the population.
In 2031 to 2052, we will be able to build the first space elevator,we going to travel to space, It´s going tobe something common for us, we will have to make solar power stations.
The impressive was read that we will be able to transfer the thoughts, feelings and memories to a computer and , we are going to live more of 100 years old, we won´t grow old as fast, so, I think that someday we will travel through time, and we will communicate telepathically, even will teletransport anything. Technology is advancing at an amazing speed and the question is: Will we be prepared for these big changes?. One thing is certain. We have much to learn and we must begin now.

Come to valley of the chira
The province of Sullana is located to Riverside of the chira river in the department of Piura. The chira Valley has lands very fertile in the region, is one of the most favored by nature on the Peruvian coast, it has good quality soils, it has enougn water and favourable climate for a variety of crops.
The chira River was formerly called Turicarami. The Valley of chira which is born in the Western mountain range of andes with the name of river catamayo in ecuador, but the chira Valley is more extensive than the catamayo Valley. The waters of the Valley of chira are a nice and warm place for farming and Agriculture and its people are very friendly with visitors.
The chira Valley has a population of 253434 inhabitants, its is tropical climate. the province of sullana is more warm than in the province of piura, by the waters of the chira River, but the chira Valley is also rich in species, produces cattle, horses, donkeys, pigs, also own the bird of inspiring stories as it is “El Chilalo”. But not only the chira Valley offers tourists its nature, also offers fun as boating on the River, also you can enjoy a walk by the turicarami , of the Cathedral, its square and the most exquisite and varied cuisine, due to the large agricultural and livestock production in the Valley of chira.
The chira Valley is a land blessed by God and we are heirs to the culture “Tallan” and force of women “Capullanas” . it is an excellent place for travel and tourism.

Colan beach is oldest of the other beaches in Piura. It´s an ancestral heritage old caleta “the colanes”. It´s real name is “La Esmeralda de Colan” becouse of the water color in summer and it´s know by “el sol de Colan y la Luna de Paita”.

the cousine is one of the most interesting attractive. The restaurants prepare exquisites dishes with seafood in addition to it’s already recognized the green tamales.
After that, you can enjoy the sunset which is one of the best suset along the coast.

COME TO THE GERA’S WATERFALL
The Gera’s Waterfall is considerate as a of the resources most beautiful of the Perú. It is localized in the Jepelacio District, Moyobamba Province in the San Martin Region.
It is located to one hour of the Moyobamba city in the Jepelacio District, in the height tropical jungle. One of the most impressive sights is the Waterfall with three jumps as from a height of 120 meter, Presenting a wonderful spectacle with colours varied and exotic, from one brown even the colours of the rainbow for the action of the sun.
Its crystalline water that it contrive of the river Gera, in a rocky bed in between an abundant vegetation with wooden sorts, own plants of the zone orchids and bromelias
Road to the waterfall you can appreciate different kinds of insects, like butterflies painted in colours. Here you just take photos and filming the waterfall. Its landscape beauty can be appreciated from the lookout of the Hydroelectric in the Main Station of the Gera, as well as from the downside.
The Gera’s Waterfull is a very exciting place I´ve had a fantastic time there in contact with the nature. It was an unforgettable experience.

Das Quadrat von Piura
It is one of the oldest squares, Spanish cut square, located in the center of Piura, the main square is surrounded by tamarind trees planted over a century ago, ficus, crotons, rosettes, poncianas and sachets, which give an atmosphere of freshness to this sunny city. In the center of the main square you will find the monument of freedom Is the Pola? Marble statue, which was placed in 1870 during the government of Balta and is considered the oldest monument in Piura. It is said that 24 tamarind plants were donated by Fernando Reuche German citizen, tradition has it that Mr. Manuel Saldarriaga the Bloody bull manure to not wither and are kept alive until today. It is called Plaza de Armas because formerly performed civic and military parades.
